A Self-Guided Twilight Tour in Washington State

Apr 28, 2024 | Washington | 0 comments

Welcome to the enchanting world of Washington State, where the dense forests, misty beaches, and charming small town inspired one of the most captivating love stories of the 21st century. If you’re a fan of the Twilight saga or simply intrigued by the mystical allure of the Pacific Northwest, my self-guided Twilight blog post offers an unforgettable experience.

With its serene landscapes and ethereal beauty, Washington State served as the backdrop for the iconic tale of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. This self-guided tour takes you through the real-life locations that inspired or were represented in the book series. From the fog-laden fringes of Forks to the crashing waves of La Push beach, you’re invited to step into a world where fantasy and reality blur.

Stay at The Cullen’s House in Forks, Washington

Start here in Forks, Washington

La Push, Washington – La Push Baby!

La Push is a quaint Native American village nestled on the western shores of Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula. This beach serves as the backdrop for Bella and Jacob sharing a chat in the popular tale. While exploring, you should seek out Jacob’s home from the story (though we couldn’t find it) and snap a photo with the “No Vampire Beyond This Point” sign at the entrance to La Push territory.

If you are obsessed with the book you will be obsessed with La Push!

Things to know before you go:

  • Treaty Line- 7764 La Push Road (No Vampires Beyond This Point sign)
  • Jacob’s House- 8320 La Push Road
  • There is no cell phone service in La Push.
  • La Push has amazing cabins for rent by the water.
  • La Push Beach is FREE!
  • 1st Beach is the one portrayed in the book.
  • Be careful the waves are strong!

First Beach at La Push

Three Sisters at the Treaty Line

Three Sisters is located at the treaty line—a place that effortlessly blends fun with flavor. Famous for its incredible selection of vampire shakes, each sip promises a thrilling adventure for your taste buds. This hotspot is always buzzing, adorned with twilight memorabilia that adds to its enchanting atmosphere. Don’t miss out on their mouthwatering hamburgers and fries, a treat that perfectly complements the whimsical theme.

Heads up! The vampire threat is currently “Danger” so be aware of your surroundings.

Hiking Trails in La Push

When you’re making your way back to the treaty lines (after your stop at First Beach), don’t miss your chance to hike the trails leading to Second Beach and Third Beach. The scenic trails are breathtaking, offering a glimpse into the captivating woods that the author found so enchanting.

Eat at Bella Italia & Shop in Port Angeles

Dine at Bella Italia to relive Bella and Edward’s first date. Opt for the Mushroom Ravioli just as Bella did. Please note, that a reservation is necessary. Additionally, go shopping in Port Angeles which is Bella’s favorite spot and only spot to shop. Small town problems!

Hike Olympic National Park

Hike the enchanting wilderness of Olympic National Park during your stay in Forks, Washington. Seize this unique opportunity to wander through the forests reminiscent of those roamed by the Cullens. The beauty and magic of these trails are palpable, making it clear why Stephenie Meyer chose this mesmerizing backdrop for her famous Twilight saga. What a beauty!

In conclusion, whether you’re a die-hard Twilight fan or simply looking to explore the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, this self-guided tour will take you on a journey through the very heart of where the epic love story of Bella and Edward unfolded. From the charming town of Forks to the majestic beauty of Olympic National Park, every step of the tour will leave you breathless and in awe. So pack your bags, grab your copy of Twilight, and embark on this unforgettable journey through Washington State. Who knows, you might just fall in love with this enchanting corner of the world and create magical memories that will last a lifetime.
