I am on the hunt for the best social distancing adventures in Texas. I found this hidden gem located outside of Houston in a small city called Simonton. This is the perfect Texas spot to have some fun on the farm.

I have partnered with Blessington Farms for this post. The best part for me is they had zero restrictions when it came to my blog post. This is my honest opinion.
Fun Farmland Tickets
Please purchase your tickets online in advance because spaces are limited due to social distancing restrictions.

Insider Tip: When planning your trip keep the Texas heat in mind. Show up early so you can beat the heat.
Berry Picking
Want to pick some yummy, home grown berries? This farm has juicy delicious berries, perfect for picking and eating.

Strawberry picking months are March-April, and blueberry picking months are May-June.
Strawberries are $5 a pound and blueberries are $10 a pound. They have a first come, first serve policy.
Insider Tip: The early bird gets the worm. Show up early, so you can score the best berries in the patch.
Flower Picking
Bring a smile to your kids face by letting them pick their own bouquet of flowers. For a small fee, you are given a cup which they can fill with a plethora of sunflowers. This activity will bring out your inner florist.

Insider Tip: Make sure your flowers have water, otherwise they will die before you get home.
Fun Activities at Blessington Farms
There is so much to see and do. You can spend hours at the farm and still not complete all the activities. Get ready to have some good ole fashion Farm Fun!
Insider Tip: Every activity listed below is included with your admission ticket, except Gem Mining.
Peddle Carts
This was a great activity that the fathers and sons could do together. It seemed like the dads loved being kids again.

Slide Mountain
This was my kids favorite area. The slides are extremely fast and exciting. My mother-in-law was going so fast it spinned her backwards down the slide. It was hilarious.

Sand Mountain
This was a popular spot for kids, because it’s full of toy trucks and sand toys. This is the perfect spot to let your kids play while you relax.

Gem Mining
There is a small fee for mining. Before mining, you purchase a bag of dirt which is full of hidden treasures just waiting to be unearthed.

Duck Race
We are an extremely competitive family. We enjoyed cheering on our duck as it raced down to the finish line.

Rat Races
If you want your kids to leave exhausted, then make them race like a rat. Keep your phone out and ready because it is comical.

Animal Encounter
If your kids love animals, then this farm is for them. You can see all the animals up close and personal. The farm has quite a large variety of animals.

Petting Zoo
This petting zoo includes typical domestic farm animals. When you enter the petting zoo, you will feel like a lucky, young kid getting to visit the farm for the first time. You will be surrounded by all the Texas animals we have all come to know and love.

Jump Pad
Have you dreamed of a massive outside trampoline?

Barrel Train Ride
This is the perfect spot to head to when you just need a break and want to cool down. If your kids love trains, then this is the perfect opportunity to introduce them to the farm way of doing things.

Hay Ride
Next to the barrel ride, is the hay ride.

Insider Tip: Save the Train Ride and Hay Ride for when your kids need time to cool down from the heat. There is plenty of shade and you will feel a nice breeze, which is perfect for escaping the suns harsh rays.
Trolly Swing
Let me start by saying there is a weight requirement of 100 pounds, that I did not see until AFTER I had a blast on the swing. I felt like Peter Pan!

Fishing
A day on the farm would not be complete without fishing at the lake. The largest catfish caught at their lake was 14 pounds. Wow!

Food at Blessington Farms
Let’s talk food. They have two responsibly priced food trucks on the farm. You should plan to eat on the farm. The food is delish!
Insider Tip: One food truck will give you 10% off if you check in on Facebook.

Insider tip: Here is what you need to know.

We had a blast on this Texas farm. There is plenty of open space, which is perfect for families trying to stay away from crowded places. This farm is a perfect spot to get some fresh air, exercise, and vitamin D after being cooped up inside for a months.
