When you think of Disney, most people are probably imagining taking their small kids to the park. But, as it turns out college students love going there too! I’m excited that you’re thinking of visiting the “happiest place on earth” with young adults INSTEAD of young children. I’ve compiled a list of the top parks and rides for you to make the most of this trip to Disney World.

Back Story
When do you get too old to go to Disney World? The answer is NEVER! You can NEVER be too old to enjoy the number one theme park in the world and somewhere as magical as Disney. After my college students spent hours crying over tests and final exams finally being over, it was time for me to make sure that these hard-working college kids got some relief from all that stress by taking them away to Disney World! Yes, this is where they wanted to go.

You are probably asking yourself… What ride will an adult like? What parks do the adults want to go to? Where do I start?
College Student’s Favorite Parks
I had my college students vote for their favorite parks. Here is what they picked.
#1- Magic Kingdom
This is where the castle is located. The Magic Kingdom is not only one of the most beautiful parks in all of Walt Disney World; it’s also home to some amazing attractions such as Pirates of The Caribbean, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain! When you think of Disney World you’re thinking of Magic Kingdom. It is a must when going to Disney World.

#2- Hollywood Studios
The Hollywood studios at Disney World are known to be the most popular place for film and TV production. This is where you will find Star Wars, Tower of Terror, and Toy Story Land.

#3- Animal Kingdom
I bet you’re dying to know what the animal kingdom is like at Disney World! Well first, I’ve got a secret for ya- it’s not really an “animal” kind of place. But don’t worry; there are still plenty of animals around. However, this is where you will find the World of Avatar, and the Expedition Everest ride.

#4-Epcot
The Epcot theme park at Disney World is a place where you can go to experience the culture of different countries. If you are over 21, you can drink around the world. Have a Margarita in Mexico and head over to Germany for a beer. This is considered for the most part an “adult park”.

College Student’s Top 5 Rides

#1- Star Wars Rise of the Resistance (Hollywood Studios Park)
#2- Space Mountain (Magic Kingdom Park)
#3- Rock N’Roller Coaster (Hollywood Studios Park)
#4- Avatar Flight of Passage (Animal Kingdom Park)
#5- Expedition Everest (Animal Kingdom Park)
Where to stay
Staying on property is a must for college students! The Disney Resort Collection has more than 25 hotels to choose from, and each one offers something unique. From budget-conscious accommodations to luxurious deluxe hotels- there’s an option for everyone! When staying on the property you get access to extra magic hours and free transportation around the parks via bus, monorail, water taxi, and Skyliner. If someone gets tired, they can just head back to the hotel room by themselves.

What Are Extra Magic Hours?
Extra Magic Hours are extended theme park hours available to Disney World Resort hotel guests. Also known as the time you get the entire park to yourself. It’s MAGICAL!
Instagram Spots
You’ll be able to take your personal Instagram game up a notch when you find the best spots at Disney World. Cinderellas Wishing Well is one of my personal favorites. It is located next to Cinderella’s castle.

Looking for budget-friendly rooms?
I know, I know! College is expensive, therefore I suggest Pop Century Hotel. Staying at a budget-friendly hotel is 100% the best way. The only time you should be in your room is while you are sleeping! Go back in time and check out by far the coolest 70’s themed room at Disney World.
Bring money to eat
The vast array of food and snacks at Disney World will make your mouth water. You can find anything from ice cream to funnel cake, all in the most delicious flavors imaginable! Some people come to Disney World just to eat!

In conclusion, when your college student is feeling the weight of the college workload, it can be tough to find moments for themselves. One way to take some stress away is by planning a vacation with friends or family. And what better place than Disney World? There are so many things to do there that will help relieve any tension in their lives—from putting on an interactive show at The Lion King Theater to riding the Seven Dwarves Mine Train roller coaster. You could even visit Epcot and see how countries around the world love to celebrate their food! All this without ever leaving Orlando! Let Glam Escapes Travel Agency book your next stay!
