Here is a guide to an ultimate girl’s weekend getaway. We shared a relaxing weekend together with cocktails, laughing, shopping and so much more. Hopefully, this will inspire you to start planning your next girls’ trip…. Because you deserve it!

Girls Weekend Gifts
When picking out a gift for girl’s weekend, keep in mind the theme. Somehow our theme was circled around drinking. Some things never change. Hehe
It’s beginning to feel a lot like cocktails here in the Woodlands, TX.

Destination
Four moms missing can be recipe for disaster, therefore, we decided on a city that was only a short drive away. Everyone wanted to be close to their kids in case of an emergency. I wasn’t complaining because sometimes it nice to just visit another city without having to travel “Far Far Away.”

We selected the city of Woodlands, Texas because it’s only a 1 ½ hour drive away. The Woodlands is one of the most stunning cities outside of Houston. What makes the Woodlands so stunning? It is a heavily forested city with a majority of the community hidden behind beautiful trees. At times it’s almost impossible to find a gas station without a GPS. The best part about the Woodlands, is they have some of the greatest shopping and restaurants. Score! That makes it the perfect location for a girl’s weekend getaway.
Hotel
Embassy Suites by Hilton, The Woodlands at Hughes Landing
When selecting a hotel for your girl’s weekend, keep in mind that you are dealing with 4 people, with 4 different personalities. We selected a hotel with a suite, so we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Embassy Suites by Hilton was the perfect choice for our girls’ weekend. We had a living room, kitchen, and bedroom with double beds. If you think this room is out of your budget, then you will be surprised to find out it was only $200 for one night. I love scoring good deals at Hotels.com.

Pool
We planned on spending countless hours hanging out in the pool and enjoying the view. Sadly, we just ran out of time. It seems like running out of time is a guarantee sometimes, so do not get too upset when something you plan to do doesn’t happen. You still had a blast right?

Free Drinks
The hotel gave us 1 coupon per person, for 3 free drinks at the bar during Happy Hour, from 5:30pm-7:30pm. How cool is that? Now, this is the hotel to stay at for a weekend getaway. Score!

Free Breakfast
I know I’m going on and on about this hotel. However, look at this breakfast. Nothing like surprising your friends with free drinks and now this awesome breakfast buffet. This is seriously the best free breakfast I’ve ever had in the states. They even have an omelet station. Jackpot!

Pre-Trip
Preparing for the trip can be daunting, but stopping at the liquor store is a must. This is where you will pick up your girl’s trip essentials. We decided on champagne, because popping the bottle of champagne will always guarantee a good time.

**Friday**
Happy Hour- Fielding Wood Grill
We started our weekend with a bang. We got the party started with seasonal cocktails, craft, beer, and wine. I really like this restaurant with it’s OOOHHHH so yummy and unique hamburger selection. However, the one thing I would have changed is, I would have picked a restaurant with a large happy hour menu since it was Friday. Sorry ladies but no happy hour deals at this restaurant. My bad.

Lavender Thyme Lemondrop martini is to die for, and it’s strong.

Baked chicken + spinach dip is tasty.

Cowboy- Good but not great
House bacon, cheddar, poblano pepper all inside an Angus patty, topped with bacon, New England cheddar, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, mayo, milk bun, cooked med-well

Hand Scrub
This restaurant has the most amazing hand scrub. I’m still kicking myself for not buying a container. Yes, it’s so amazing they sell it in the restaurant.

Pedicure Time- Venetian Nail Salon, Woodlands, TX
Within walking distance of the hotel.
After our meals and drinks, it was time to be pampered. As moms we are always on the go, therefore, it was time to slow down, relax, and be ourselves.

In order, to have the best day possible, look for a spa that goes the extra mile to make you feel pampered. This will take your “spa time” to the next level.

So relaxing.

My pedicure even came with a 5-minute back message. You can’t get better than this!

Starbucks
We were in luck. Starbucks was in between our hotel and the nail salon. It was a perfect mid-day pick me up right before checking into our hotel. I suggest a coffee stop after your spa time. massages can be so relaxing you may want a nap. There was no time for naps though. We had more plans for the day.

Axe Throwing-Texas Axe Throwing, Spring, TX
We found our inner warrior that day.

Ok, to be honest they found their inner warrior and I just sucked. We still all had a blast. Trust me, even if you’re like me who has no inner warrior to be found… you will still have fun.

If you want to be dressed cuter than your friends, wear a red-and-black logger’s plaid shirt, like my best friend did. I can’t believe I didn’t think about wearing a logger shirt. How cute is that?

You must book an axe-perience in advance. It’s a two-hour guided axe throwing game with their Axe Master. The Axe Master will teach you how-to safety; how to stand, and how to throw. Trust me you will need all the help you can get.

Escalante’s Fine Tex-Mex & Tequila, Woodlands, TX
All I can say is this is guacamole paradise.

Excuse my language, but it’s damn good guacamole. We had the Southwestern guacamole.

And…of course we had more drinks. Thank goodness this restaurant was located across the street from our hotel.

Girl Time
We ended the day with a face mask. I brought several face masks to select from, but for some reason we all picked the same one. Great minds think alike.

**Saturday**
Market Street- Woodlands, TX
Shopping Shopping Shopping

Woodlands Market Street is an outdoor shopping center with over 70 stores. My two favorites are Luis Vuitton and Tiffany & Company.
They even supply shoppers with umbrellas. Fancy!

Michael Kors
FYI This store gives out free champagne and they have some adorable shoes.

Lush
Of course, we had to stop at my all-time favorite store.

I’m obsessed with the body oil bombs. It’s perfect for my dry aging skin,

Black Walnut Café, Woodlands, TX
It’s a chain restaurant and if you have one near you then go to it! This place is freakin amazing. It’s so good.

Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup is delicious.

Gelato was the best I’ve ever had.

Look at their dessert.
