As a mom, I know how important it is to escape the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Recently, my family was lucky enough to do just that when we visited Scape Park in the Dominic Republic while we were staying at the Nickelodeon Resort. This is what we “resort travelers” call an “excursion”. This excursion was spectacular – from the zip lining, cave swims, cave jumping, exploring ancient caverns, and riding in a splash hammock. In this blog post, I’m going to be sharing my review of everything Scape Park offered us during our visit.
Head on over to this awesome park for some thrilling outdoor adventures. Get ready for a day full of fun. Their all-day excursion was a blast. The bus will pick you up at 8 am and drop you off at your hotel by 6 pm. We had so much fun at the park but sadly we were done by 3 pm. We finished everything and were left scratching our heads for more. The only downside was waiting for the bus from 3 pm to 5 pm, but it was all worth it for the amazing memories we made. If you wrap up your park adventure ahead of schedule like we did, order an Uber. Easy-peasy and stress-free.
Warning
Get your walking shoes ready, folks. Scape Park is huge, so we’re in for some serious strolling. For example, to reach the breathtaking Hoyo Azul, you’ll need to trek for approximately 20 minutes from the entrance. You will need to get those legs moving in order to explore all that Scape Park has to offer. Be prepared to walk. Sadly, it’s not exactly wheelchair friendly.

Attractions at Scape Park in Dominic Republic
As soon as you step inside, you’ll be greeted by colorful parrots and friendly photographers. It’s the perfect opportunity to snap some awesome family photos. There are loads of photographers scattered throughout the park. And guess what? For just $75, you can snag all of your pics from the day in one convenient bundle. Smile for the camera! Kinda like a Disney Photopass.
Zipline
Who needs a roller coaster when you can soar through a canopy of trees on their thrilling zip line circuit? Experience the rush as you fly through eight lines, all while taking in breathtaking views from a stunning cliff. It’s specifically made for first-timers like my son. And guess what? If you’re not sure if you’ll love it, no worries – the first ride takes you right back to the starting line. My son wasn’t exactly thrilled about the zip-lining, but luckily he was able to bail after the very first line. Try out ziplining and see for yourself if you like it.
Splash Hammock
Who knew a hammock could be so much fun? My kids and I splashed on it for at least 20 rounds. And even my daughter, who’s usually a total scaredy-cat, couldn’t get enough. The park is HUGE so we never had to deal with pesky crowds. We just kept doing fun activities on repeat.
Saltos Azules
My husband couldn’t get enough of the thrill of zipping into the water, while my kids spent hours just swimming around in this perfect swimming spot. Get your float on for FREE. Life jackets included.
Cave Swim
Feel the true thrill of swimming in the same waters used by ancient natives for their sacred rituals. But beware – you’re in for some seriously chilly cave swimming. Brrr, the water was like an icy plunge. I personally made the call to stay dry and be a spectator instead of taking the plunge.
Iguanaland
Get ready for some lizard love! With no supervisors around, you can get up close and personal with the iguanas. Feed ’em, pet ’em, and feel the awesomeness of this hands-on experience.
Cave Jumping
Ready for a wild adventure? Just a quick 20-minute stroll will take you to cave-jumping heaven! Trust us, the heart-pumping thrill is totally worth every step.
Cave Expedition
Their awesome guide will introduce you to spiders and bats and any other critters he discovers along the way. They’re guaranteed to make the cave tour a total blast.
