This is my review of an all-inclusive hotel in Greece called Marbella Elix. Have you ever stayed at a hotel that was so luxurious, so secluded, and so picturesque that you never wanted to leave? Well, I have – and it’s called the MarBella Elix Hotel in Greece. This all-inclusive 5-star hotel is located on a beautiful stretch of Karavostasi beach, and it offers everything you could possibly want in a vacation. From world-class dining and spa services, to stunning pools and gorgeous accommodations, the MarBella Elix Hotel is the perfect place to escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. Here’s my review of this incredible resort. Did I mention it’s all-inclusive?
Who doesn’t dream of going to Greece? The architecture is absolutely stunning and the views from this hotel can not be beat. This 5-star property was built in 2021, making it one of Greece’s newest hotels to grace its shores. The resort is located in Parga, Greece which provides an excellent escape from tourists.
Are you ready to relax?
This hotel is the perfect place for anyone who wants to get away from it all. It’s not near any major tourist attractions, so you can really relax and enjoy your vacation here. Plan to spend the majority of your time at this hotel because you have nowhere else to go.
What’s the best Greece airport to fly into?
The nearest airport is Ioannina International Airport, which is around 1 hour and 20 minutes from the resort. It is a tiny little airport, so most likely you will have to fly into Athens and take a small plane to Ioannina. I recommend calling the resort in advance and having them arrange for a car to pick you up from the airport.
I always recommend spending at least two days in Athens since you most likely will have a layover here. Click here to read my blog post on Athens.
Rooms at the all-inclusive hotel
There is an endless selection of rooms to choose from, all of which have views of the Ionian Sea. The swim-up room is always my first choice when booking a hotel. It never disappoints. I loved that my room had views of this stunning beach from the room & my pool. I left the door open at night with a locked screen and went to bed. I felt like Sleeping Beauty. The sound of waves lapping on the shore put me right to sleep and believe me I slept well. Honestly, some of the best sleep I have ever had. Can you picture yourself waking up to this view every morning? It is so surreal. The room comes with complimentary WIFI, coffee, tea, a minibar, and a hairdryer. If needed you can request an iron and ironing board. Click here to book a room.
The views at this all-inclusive hotel
The views are so amazing in this hotel I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. The pool, restaurants, and even my room had an incredible view of the ocean, which made it really hard for me to want to leave. The only spot in the hotel that lacks a view of the ocean was their gym and spa.
The currency for Greece is the euro. You can find an ATM at this resort that will allow you to take out Euros for a low fee. The airport is not the place to get euros. The fees can be very expensive and it’s best if you avoid them altogether by getting your currency at a hotel or other establishment such as your personal bank.
Cool down in their large freshwater infinity pool, which offers spectacular views across the Ionian sea, complete with an outdoor jacuzzi and sun beds. There’s a bar and servers nearby so you’ll be sure to have drinks in hand. Please be aware that the pool is not heated, so it can get chilly in winter.
While at the pool you will notice the lack of Americans present. In fact, I bet you will not even run into another American at the Marbella Elix hotel. This hotel is a European secret. Also, it is not just a resort for grown-ups. There are plenty of families here, too!
The beautiful blue water and white sand beach in Parga, Greece is one that you want to experience for yourself. It really is absolutely breathtaking.
Chair and umbrellas are free on the beach for hotel guests. There’s a bar close by with servers constantly coming around with drinks for your enjoyment. You can even order food from the hotel. I personally love that I am able to see this beach from my hotel room. This is life!
Food at all-inclusive MarBella Elix hotel
I personally ate at the breakfast buffet every day. There is no need to make a reservation for the buffet, therefore, you can walk in and eat at any time. Who wouldn’t want breakfast with this view? If you have read my other blogs then you should know I am not easily pleased when it comes to food. Here, I thought it was delish.
If you want to eat at a restaurant other than the buffet, you need to make your reservations far in advance. If you think you can just show up during your vacation and make dinner reservations during your stay, well unfortunately that is not going to happen.
Here are the pictures from our dinner at The Pearl. It was absolutely delicious. I suggest making a reservation for this fine dining as soon as you book the hotel.
To be honest the plans are confusing and I had a hard time finding the different plans on their website. I personally selected the cheapest plan which was 2 meals per day (Breakfast & Dinner). For me, this was more than enough food. If you decide you want a fine dining experience, then you will receive a credit of $15 to go towards your meal which covers one entree. I suggest you email the hotel for more information about the plans before booking. Make sure you take advantage of all the perks, which will require you to do a little asking and reading. If you stay more than 7 days they offer some really cool excursions off-site for free.
Spa at Marbella Elix
The spa is absolutely amazing and the price was just right. You need to book your spa appointment in advance. I am used to being spontaneous and making an appointment for the spa or making dining reservations at the last minute. That is not how it works at this hotel.
Also, I love a good steam room, and I LOVE that it is free for hotel guests. However, there are time slots for the steam room and they fill up fast. It is almost impossible to get a steam room appointment. If you have a spa appointment, you will automatically get access to the steam room.
There is so much to do: hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking, and tennis.
Well, it is pretty obvious that I had a fantastic time on this vacation. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but all these exciting activities made for some really great memories. There is PLENTY to do at this resort. I came back relaxed and ready to take on the world. This is how a vacation should be.
The gym is located in the main building and does not have any views of the ocean. However, there are plenty of machines and equipment for all types of workouts, which makes it easy to stay fit on vacation. There is no broken equipment, which is due to it being a new hotel. Sadly, if you love Crossfit as I do, the equipment for that workout is lacking. Overall I give it a 7 out of 10.
The outdoor yoga sessions offered every morning are a great workout. They’re challenging and provide an opportunity to get some fresh air while working on your core, balance skills, and just overall fun levels. They offer sessions with limited spaces available each day, so it is important not only to sign up ahead of time but also to arrive early so as not to miss out on your opportunity. Did I mention it is free?
In summary, I absolutely loved my experience at the MarBella Elix Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing all-inclusive vacation.
