You may have heard about this town from the movie Cowboys and Aliens or Ancient Aliens. Well if that wasn’t enough to get your curiosity going, I’ll go ahead and tell you about some other cool places to see in Roswell. Now start packing up your bags!

History of Roswell

On July 8, 1947, the Roswell Army Air Field issued a statement that they had recovered a UFO from a ranch near Roswell. The military quickly retracted their claim and instead said it was just an ordinary weather balloon.

The Roswell incident resurfaced again in the late 70s when a retired colonel who was an unidentified flying object researcher said that it had been cover-story. First and second hand witnesses of crash locations claimed that one or more alien spacecraft crashed, but there were military personnel who recovered them instead of telling everyone about what happened which would have caused lots of panic.
