It’s that time of year again and we’re all ready for the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. This is a great event to take your family, friends, or significant other to. You’ll be able to try amazing food from around the world, drink wine from different countries, and just have a blast overall! If you’re planning on going this year, here are some things you should know before attending.

The 2023 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is running from July 14th, 2023 – November 19th, 2023!

This Annual Festival is a can’t-miss event for any Disney fan. With incredible special events, informative culinary demonstrations from celebrity chefs, as well as, delicious World Showcase Marketplace Food Booths, this festival offers something everyone should enjoy! This is your chance to enjoy food from around the world without leaving the USA.

NEW food booths for 2021
Brew-Wing, Mac & Eats, Lobster Landing, Kenya, Rotunda Bistro, The Swanky Sucy Swin, and Tangierine Cafe. Sadly, I hate to report, but my friend who I consider to be a mac & cheese expert gave Mac & Eats two thumbs down.

Festival Passport at EPCOT Food and Wine Festival
The best way to have fun at the festival is by tasting all of its delicious foods and drinks, so don’t forget your passport! It’s FREE! Just pick one up at the entrance to the park. This passport gives you a map of all the countries, along with a list of items available to sample in each country.

Eat around the world at Epcot Food and Wine Festival
Take your passport and sample all the food from all around the world. It is delish! Eat, Eat, Eat! Epcot food is worth every calorie!

Ratatouille Hide ‘n’ Squeak Scavenger Hunt
In this activity, you’ll go on a scavenger hunt to find little Remy statuettes hidden all around the park. The cost to participate in this fun little mapping project is only $9.99 for the map and stickers! Once you pay the $9.99, you can instantly collect your prize. The prize is one of these adorable bowls. Which is your favorite?

FYI- Remy is not easy to find! Thank goodness it’s a participation-only prize.

Gold Character Status
Disney is celebrating its 50th anniversary! One of the biggest additions to celebrate their golden anniversary is a series of large, gold-character statues spread throughout four theme parks. This “Fab” 50 Character Collection features one-of-a-kind sculptures that pay homage and honor to all your favorites from childhood.

Festival Merchandise at Epcot Food and Wine Festival
This is the park to shop at if you are looking for unique ears, shirts, glassware, kitchenware, and hats. Look at these cool ears I found in Mexico! You can not find this online or at any of the other parks. Also, below is a video of the Apple Orchard collection that you can only find at Epcot during the Food & Wine Festival. If you love to shop, this is the park for you!

Emile’s Fromage Montage
Disney is once again hosting a tasting event for guests who purchase all 5 cheese dishes from select Global Marketplaces. You will be able to enjoy these delicious samples in creative ways, earning you stamps on your festival passport, which can then be brought back to Shimmering Sips for a prize. You must collect all 5 stamps to win.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
This is Disney World’s newest ride located in Epcot. It is a motion-based, trackless 3D ride, based on the 2007 Disney-Pixar animated film Ratatouille. Let me just say, it is AWSOME! This ride requires you to sign up for Disney Virtual Que. There is no standby. You must register in advance or sign up at guest services.
(keep in mind, it looks amazing in person, but the phone was not able to record with 3D glasses)
Plenty of rides at Epcot
Many people believe this is an adult-only park. However, that is not true, there are more than enough rides for all your kids to enjoy. Check out the link below.

Disney Characters
Yes, you will still come across Disney characters at Epcot. Honestly, this is where I usually come across some of my favorite characters, like Alice, from “Alice and Wonderland” and “Mary Poppins”.
All in all, the Food and Wine Festival is a great event for you to try out. It’s one of Epcot’s most popular events – so make sure to get there early! You’ll want to make park reservations ahead of time if you plan on attending this year because it always sells out quickly.
